Would You Like To Save Money On Your Electrical Bills?

electric bill

It’s no secret; our basic cost of living has been going up a lot lately. You see it at the gas pumps, on your grocery receipt and every month when you get your electrical bill. So how do low income families keep up with all these increases, and still manage to make ends meet?

Beginning January 1, 2016 the Ontario Energy Board is introducing the new Ontario Electricity Support Program. According to the information on their website, a family of 1-2 people making less than $28,000/year may be eligible for up to $30/month credit. Credits may go higher for larger family sizes, or if high electrical usage is unavoidable, such as heating your house with electricity.

In a society that enjoys the richness of so many resources, it hardly seems right that some of us may be asked to choose between heating our homes and eating three square meals a day.
