If there is one thing I love to do, it is to dream big. Looking back on this past year, it is clear that I am not alone. In 2014, Apple unveiled its smart watch, we saw the first prototype of a pacemaker made from a 3D printer and learned that nanobots have the capability of killing cancer cells. Wow!! These are all examples of somebody’s big dream to change the way we traditionally understand our world.
So my story about dreaming big in 2014 is about marrying the love of my life Daniela. Who would’ve been able to guess that I could have tricked such an innocent, intelligent and lovely woman like Daniela to spend the rest of her life with me. With all my quirks, bad jokes, constant tossing and turning in the bed…(the list goes on), I was able to convince her that her life would never be the same if she chose to marry me. I think I can say with confidence that I’ve delivered on that promise, I just don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.
As we’ve now entered a New Year, I want to share why you too should dream big. As I awake each morning, I find myself with this burning desire in my chest. I can’t wait to start my day. I get this rush of excitement and ideas of what the new day is going to bring to me. My mind churns hard with this endless amount of remarkable absurdity.
Excitement, enthusiasm and drive. That is my perfect recipe for success. Success of course comes in many forms. Whether it be at work, your relationship with your spouse or on the field of play, we can all have a slice of success. But to have success, don’t be afraid to dream big. The time is now.
